I joined Women's Voices of the Himalayas because I had so many ideas, but not the guidance to move forward with confidence. I hoped the programme would give me clarity, challenge my thinking, and help me become more intentional about the direction I wanted my life and career to take.
“It's not just about finding your voice. It's about keeping it.”
The biggest shift has been a true growth mindset: despite my differences, my background, or the challenges I face, I am just as capable of the goals I set. Finding my voice, I now realise, is not only speaking up — it is keeping that voice, standing by my perspective even when it is different. My mentor helped me see a confidence I hadn't fully recognised, and that my skills are valuable not only in Nepal but internationally.
I am growing my startup with a partner who pushes me to think bigger, and building professional connections in Europe. The greatest gift is my voice and the belief I have built: I trust myself more, and I am no longer afraid to pursue ambitious goals. To another woman considering this programme I would say — you and your vision are enough exactly as you are.
