Shasta Kansakar

My twenties have been chaotic and confusing. I joined to receive guidance from someone who had been there — to gain perspective, and to learn from someone who had flourished through the hard parts.

“Finding my voice means being authentic to my values, and being unafraid to adhere to them.”

Knowing that my mentor has navigated different careers, relationships and countries has made me more optimistic. Finding my voice means being authentic to my values. She has taught me to appreciate my efforts, and to bounce back from setbacks more quickly.

I am using my voice to support young women and young Indigenous women through my initiatives. The greatest gift is self-love. As an ambitious person I am often hard on myself; working with my mentor has allowed me to give myself some grace, and learn to enjoy life.
